LinkedIn / Business profile headshots | What an Event Experience!
We had a ball and so did all the attendees that were lucky enough to have an event experience to remember! Each attendee got a chance to get a mentoring session to look at their LinkedIn marketing strategy or conduct a digital audit. Above that they also received a professionally shot LinkedIn / Business profile headshot. And all for just stopping by and saying “hi”! Look what we got up to:
Transforming the Social Sector with Technology
The 2019 Connecting Up conference themed ‘Transform’ is officially done and dusted for yet another year. This awesome event brings not for profit organisations from all around Australia together with some of the most innovative brands, businesses and minds in tech. The ultimate goal is to help NFPs and purpose-driven organisations leverage technology to help them gain a wider reach, use their resources more effectively and have a greater impact on their communities.
PN Digital first become involved with Connecting Up conference last year when we attended on behalf of one of our clients humanIT (who were also a part of this year’s event). The energy and engagement at the Connecting Up conference was like nothing we’d seen before so we knew we had to be a part of the 2019 event. And because PN Digital doesn’t do things by halves, we jumped into Connecting Up head-first!
In addition to being an exhibitor at the conference we also came on board as the official video partner for the event, which has involved producing, editing and publishing video content for a number of different purposes. Our photographer Arek was also charged with taking photos of all of the speakers and presentations throughout the two day event.
The PN Digital Experience:
Anyone who follows PN Digital on Facebook or Instagram would have gotten a sneak peak of our brand new event signage which we debuted at the conference. Our awesome graphic designer Taso is responsible for the new eye-popping display of colour and we have incorporated technology with the use of a QR code which leads users to a landing page on our website. This way, we were able to go paperless by doing away with the need for brochures and hand-outs.
But the lack of brochure didn’t mean that guests walked away from the PN Digital stand empty handed! We had a free LinkedIn headshot service with our talented photographer Arek who ended up taking photos for over 120 different participants. The photography booth was a huge hit with the attendees and drew them to us where we were able to have a chat to them about who we are and what do.
Digital Marketing Mentoring:
While all of the excitement was going down at the stand, head marketing strategist Rodney Ferro was busy conducting one-on-one digital marketing mentoring sessions with some of the attendees. Tucked up in a quiet back corner, Rodney’s digital marketing D&Ms involved a mini audit of participant’s websites, social media and online presence. Each of the participants walked away with a nifty PN branded power bank for their devices and will also be emailed a more in-depth report in the coming week that details the overall health of their digital marketing assets.
Celebrating Technology in the Social Sector:
One of the biggest highlights of the conference was the Australian Not-for-profit Technology Awards evening which was held on the Thursday evening. The awards evening celebrates brands, organisations and businesses who have been leveraging technology in innovative ways to create a bigger social impact.
As part of our role as the official video partner, the PN Digital team were responsible for creating the video presentations on the evening so it was a great experience to watch our work on the big screen while enjoying a glass of bubbly.
Being the video partner also meant that we got to talk to all of the finalists in the lead up to the awards night, learning more about their fantastic causes and the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. So it was great to be able to a part of their celebration and to see them get recognition for their work!
And That’s a Wrap!
The #transform2019au conference was a great experience for PN Digital. We got to showcase our full range of skills – digital marketing strategy, content creation, social media, design, branding, event marketing and more – in one single event, all while meeting some inspiring people who are doing amazing things in their own fields. From exhibitors who have created innovative technology solutions through to the attendees who have dedicated themselves to social issues that they are deeply passionate about, the 2019 Connecting Up Transform conference was an amazing and unmissable experience!
We would like to thank our team for all of the hard work they put in to pull this off – Nicole, Kara, Bek, Rodney and Arek who were on the ground during the event, as well as everyone else who helped us behind the scenes, getting everything ready in time. We’d also like to thank Grant Smyth, Sandra Vallance and the rest of the team at Connecting Up for putting on such an amazing event – it was a big undertaking but you pulled it off spectacularly.
Finally, to all of the exhibitors and attendees – thank you and we’ll see you again next year!
