Did you catch us at FIA?

It’s been almost 2 weeks since the FIA Conference and we are still feeling the buzz!

The FIA Conference is held annually for professionals in the fundraising sector, bringing together a diverse community of individuals committed to making an impact in the community. The conference offers an invaluable platform for learning, networking, and sharing innovative ideas that shape the future of fundraising in Australia and beyond.

From hearing from leading experts in the field, participating in workshops, and exploring the latest trends and strategies in fundraising, the FIA Conference aims to inspire and empower fundraisers by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to enhance their impact and navigate the challenges of the sector.

We’re all about helping #NFPs with their fundraising efforts so we were keen to be a part of the FIA conference in any way that we could. From the Official Social Media Support partner to hosting our own exhibitor stand to talk all about Google Ad Grants and facilitating a Linked Buzz session, we wore a few hats at FIA.

Check out what we got up to!

Exhibiting

We had the pleasure of meeting some incredible NFPs that came by for a chat at our exhibitor stand where delegates shared insights into their organisation and asked some questions around the Google Ad Grant.

One of the surprising takeaways for us was that while many organisations had heard of the $10k Google Ad Grant for non-profits, it wasn’t well-known that it was a monthly budget allocation not a once off! It was awesome to provide some guidance around this and offer pro-bono consults to organisations that were interested in strategically maximising their Google Ads or even just getting help setting up!

Social Media Support:

As this year’s proud Social Media Support Sponsor, we had the incredible opportunity to capture insights from inspirational speakers like Carol O’Carroll of Cerebral Palsy Alliance talking about the inspiring evolution of gifts in wills programs, as well as Louise Woods from The Smith Family who enlightened us on delivering a targeted and integrated appeal within an ethical communication strategy.

On the move throughout the event, camera in hand, we captured some impromptu interviews with the other amazing exhibitors, keep your eye out for a sneak preview coming soon!

Buzz Session:

Highlighting the power of relationship building through LinkedIn, Rodney facilitated two buzz sessions (packed might we add) sparking dynamic discussions between organisations while talking about some of their experiences. It was rewarding to share some of our favourite resources like Words That Sell, and even the mics we use as prizes for organisations aiming to boost their creativity and impact.

We spoke to an attendee who shared their story about how being active on LinkedIn has led to ‘in the millions of dollars’ worth of sponsorship dollars…how amazing! It just goes to show how impactful building your LinkedIn presence could be for your organisation.

Thank you to the FIA team for an amzing event! Sharing insights and connecting over our shared passion for change was the highlight of our FIA conference experience.
