Become a Bricklayer are an Australian not-for-profit organisation.
PN Digital have been working with Become a Bricklayer (BAB) and the Australian Brick and Blocklaying Foundation (ABBTF) for over 12 years. During that time we have helped them with a range of different digital and content marketing services including managing their websites, social media accounts, email marketing, Google AdWords, digital strategy and much more.
One of the most exciting projects that we have worked on recently for BAB is their Career Pathways website. This project acts as an interactive infographic filled with information and first-hand stories from successful bricklayers. It follows the career paths of several people who got their start in the building and construction industries via an apprenticeship in bricklaying, and shows young people who are considering an apprenticeship what is possible.
The aim of this website was to tackle some of the negative stigma that bricklaying apprenticeships have among young adults, by showing them that an apprenticeship in bricklaying doesn’t necessarily mean that you’ll be laying bricks for the rest of your life. Our goal was to make the website as interactive as possible, using lots of video content, pop-up boxes and infographics to appeal to a young tech-savvy demographic.
PN Digital was responsible for the entire project from start to finish including the design and development of the website as well as filming and editing all of the video content that is loaded to the site.
One of the biggest challenges for this project was to make an interactive site that is also mobile-responsive as we knew that many of the young adults browsing the site would be using mobile devices.
