Turning Creative and Data into Results: Supporting the Our Village Winter Appeal

For non-profit organisations (NFPs), the annual tax and winter appeal season is a critical period. Across Victoria, household budgets are being stretched to their absolute limits, which means every element of a campaign needs to work seamlessly to connect with donors.

Recently, our team at PN Digital had the privilege of partnering with Our Village to help them deliver their vital Winter Appeal. Rather than handing over a hands-off strategy, our role was to act as an extension of their team, collaborating closely with their internal fundraising experts to bring their vision to life through practical digital execution, creative design, and Meta ads management.

Workshopping Messaging & Building the Digital Journey

Every successful appeal relies on a strong message and a seamless user experience. We sat down with the Our Village fundraising team to workshop campaign messaging, ensuring the copy explicitly focused on the tangible impact donations have on children and families doing it tough.

From there, we translated that messaging into the digital space. Together, we designed the campaign assets and built a clean, optimised landing page aimed at removing friction for donors. We wanted to ensure that from the moment someone saw an ad or an update, their journey to supporting the cause was smooth, clear, and inspiring.

Delivering Results Across Meta Ads

Once the creative assets were built and the tracking ecosystem was verified on the landing page, we launched and managed the Meta ads component of the campaign. By keeping a close eye on the performance data throughout the appeal, we were able to achieve some fantastic engagement metrics:
  • Sustained Ad Performance: Our top-performing key Meta video ad achieved and maintained a CTR (Click-Through Rate) of above 7% for the entire duration of the campaign.
  • Building Momentum with Remarketing: While this video ad did great work driving direct donations on its own, we used that initial momentum to support the wider campaign. We set up a tailored remarketing audience, re-engaging people who had interacted with the video creative to help drive a secondary wave of donations.
